Coronado Schools

Coronado’s highly-rated public schools–including an elementary, middle, and high school– are one of the top reasons families choose to live on the Island. In fact, the Coronado Unified School District is considered to be one of the top public school systems in the state and continues to win numerous awards.

In the last decade, the City of Coronado has renovated and built all-new school buildings, giving students the opportunity to learn in some of the state’s most advanced facilities. Our great schools drive not only home sales, but also our rental market, as many families with children rent homes on the island specifically to take advantage of our award-winning public schools.

The public schools are managed by the Coronado Unified School District.  They include two elementary schools, Coronado Village Elementary and Silver Strand Elementary; a middle school, Coronado Middle School; and a high school, Coronado High School.
